This large to very large sun-tough genus is great for landscaping. A bonus is they don’t have the spines (thorns) that most other popular genus have.
They prefer a denser mix than most others too and tolerate more water. As gross feeders, they like a regular dose of slow release fertiliser through the warmer months. We start ours off potted in a smaller pot, depending on size of pup, then move into larger sized pots as they grow. They may also be grown in the ground if preferred.
