This upright genus is known for its stunning pendular blooms, albeit short-lived. The vast majority of varieties today is due to the tireless work of hybridists whose creations dazzle in a wide range of colours, often marbled or spotted.
I have to confess a love affair with billies as they’re affectionately known. I must have around 400 now. I am mesmerized by their ever-changing colours according to the weather and the amount of light they receive – they’re the barometers of the brom world!
